Boughs of Gold - Earth Day Forest Fundraiser
We are in a crucible of human history where decisions about how we live in relationship to the environment are paramount. It's a balance within all of our daily activities and commerce of the world. Can we more sincerely activate our role as stewards of the environment? Currently, some of the last stands of old-growth trees on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada, near to where I live, are at threat of being cut down. Even after elected officials 'promised' they wouldn't do this. These old-growth trees and their established ecology are vital to the life of the Earth's ecosystem. They can't simply be replaced with newly planted trees. I am using my artwork to help raise funds to protect these trees.
